Meet the Team
Jeremy Pook, Child Care Director
Director Introduction
Hi, my name is Jeremy Pook. I have been the Director of Le Fevre Community Children’s Centre since August 2008. I have worked in the Child Care field for 32 years in a range of community and Not for Profit services.
I have two children Lily and Max who both went to Child Care in their early years. I understand how important it is that services work in partnership with families and how valuable trust is.
In my work, I ensure that I am transparent and responsive to the needs of families. Each family has its own values and as a service, we must be attuned to this. Therefore it is vital that we have strong meaningful relationships that grow and develop over time and are underpinned with honesty and integrity.
Childhood is a precious time in a person’s life. It is a distinct and very important time that should be filled with wonder, exploration, inquisition, play and love. Childhood should be respected and valued and play should be the primary business of childhood.
I ask that each of our educator’s respect children as capable and valued people. They have important contributions to make to shape their world and need the support of trusted adults to help them find their voice. We must be willing to learn along with the children and enjoy the journey with them.
